Encaustic Work ~ New Beginnings for Me

I recently took a wonderful class by a dear French art teacher, Laly Mille. I am so very happy to have found Laly. She is a marvelous instructor. Her videos show every detail one needs in order to learn what techniques she has to offer. I am drawn to Laly's love of light and all things beautiful.

This piece is a copy of hers, albeit, nothing in comparison. Of course, it is NOT hers. It is mine copied to be like hers. Nonetheless, when I first spotted hers online of course, I knew I would one day like to own such a picture. That is one reason why I choose to actually copy hers but also for the purpose of learning. Later I shall do my own subjects.

I am still in the beginning stages of learning so much about my latest love which is collage art.

I have not totally left my love of early things behind. I intend to incorporate a bit of the early in my new art form, and of course, collage has been around for a very long time as well.

This is my new Marie (Antoinette). I only do the bust under glass as seen here, and in this case she was called Gentle Belle and Beauty. Of course, I will continue to create this design, but each one will be different. This one is sold. Soon I will have others.

Thank you for visiting.

The New Me and an Old Doll Look at the Same Time

Clothilda

SOLD

Hello all who visit me. As some of you may see, I have changed my look here on my blog, as well as on my website and my Etsy shop and my Facebook Design page. Yes, the lighter look is in my heart. It has been growing for some time now.

My little Clothilda I made from a wonderful Gail Wilson kit. Clothilda is on her way to live in England very soon.

Meanwhile, I am still designing and creating, but more along the line of mixed-media. I will continue to make my same dolls from time-to-time, but not in the historical reproduction sense of the word. They will be a little more in the realm of art dolls, as that is what I enjoy doing of late. So bear with me and watch for my new dolls.

Thank you so much for visiting, and I wish you all love and joy.
