This Tillie doll of mine was special ordered by a dear friend in England. It took me a very long time to get the doll ready and alas, I feel as though I did not do my very best work, but that is because I am always nervous when working on "an order", which is why I really do not, as a rule accept orders. It's the hair. I did not give it my best shot. My apology to you dear Grace. 😓 But I thank you so much for loving your Tillie just the same.
Meanwhile I'm just finishing up two more special orders for another friend here in the United States. The same deal. I'm not 100% thrilled with the two dolls yet. And so, I am taking this opportunity to swear that I no longer take orders. If someone wants something of mine, it has to be something I have put onto my Etsy shop. Even if people end up loving what I've created, the pain and angst accompanying "an order" is never worth my while. I hope I don't sound too spoiled. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, for I am indeed grateful, but I know my potential is seldom, if ever, met while creating a special order. Thank you for listening. ~
