I just created a blog about our wonderful Oregon Antique Mall here in beautiful Oregon City, Oregon. Please visit it often to see what's going on there!
Hi Christine....my husband and I stumbled into The Oregon Antique Mall today and were just delighted! I was happily surprised to find you booths and bought several things. I am in love with your little booklet and they had to come home with me too. I see that you are a Tasha Tudor fan, as am I. I adore your dolls and I do believe one will soon have to join my doll here in Troutdale. I bought your wonderful little vintage nuthead doll. I have a collection of them and the one I added today is a treasure. Can you tell me anything about her? I am now a follower of your blog and will do a posting about you on my blog soon. Happy New Year!
Hi, Christine - although I probably will not be lucky enough to visit The Oregon Antique Mall I will enjoy following along with you since I am a huge fan of your work and I know we like a lot of the same things. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of eye candy. Blessings, Susan
It looks wonderful! I am going to send the link to my DIL. I really want to go there the next time we are in OR. Sadly, we might not go this year as we have a trip planned to the NE.
Hello Zwee, And thank you for your kind words. It is really encouraging to hear about your antique mall and your booth!! Here we have many antique malls but somehow it just seems the wrong market for my work.
The state of Oregon fascinates me greatly. I tend to like the North West part of the US., especially the attitude about people and life, very much. that part of the country is progressive too.
You probably already know this, but two other talented bloggers live in your fair state. Christine of Du buh Du dolls and Roxanne of River Garden Studio.
Hi, Christine! :) My wife and I are already planning to go to Oregon Antique Mall next weekend to check out what they have there! We're very excited since it would be the first time we'll be traveling as newlyweds.
Many of you know me as Zwee with many exclamation points following. These indicate extreme joy.
My parents wanted to name me Zöe, but felt that the actual French pronunciation of Zwee would never be acknowledged, and it would have been Americanized into Zoey. Well! I believe that Zwee does exist within my alter-ego and so that is in part, who I am. But I still like to be Christine too.
First and foremost I love the domestic scene. I love houses in all shapes and sizes. I am, in fact, a house stalker.
The 18th and 19th centuries intrigue me from an escape aspect, and so I surround myself with a home that reflects the beauty of these earlier times. In fact, our house was built in 1888. And yes, that is not early, but for Oregon, it is worthy.
I do love now, each and every moment. I love the ease of life with all that modernity affords. Combine the ambiance of olden days with the luxury of today and all is perfect. My dolls and other art forms must reflect the earlier days. My preference is that of a simple, early American homestead. Otherwise, I love mansions and castles of Europe and all that domestic artistry brings to this earth. Face it, I am happy taking care of what is mine. And I take delight when others take care of theirs.
