Dolly Pin or Brooch if you Prefer

This wee Queen Anne dolly was created in 1972 by an artist of whom I cannot read the signature, but it looks like Betty Arndt. I have to say that the dress is actually a very deep, hot pink, and that my photographic skills go a begging. I just wanted to share this exquisite tiny, hand carved, wooden dolly. She is all of one inch tall there under glass in her mob cap.

  6. Good morning Zwee. I can not imagine making something so small....sometimes I struggle with my things and they are generally 10 inches or so...lol.

  7. Hi Zwee!!
Bill and I were at the Oregon City Antique Mall yesterday. We drove right by your lovely Victorian mansion too. I almost stuck my head out the window and yelled "Hey there girlie!!" as we passed by, but then thought better of the whole idea and just sat in my seat and waved a happy little wave. Did you see me? ;o)

    Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

  8. Aleta, of course I saw you drive by; I was sitting in my old wicker chair, sipping mint julep and I waved right back at you. The weather was so warm and beautiful. NOT! Maybe next month. Thank you for calling my lovely old home a mansion when it really is not.A Victorian cottage that looks bigger than it is.

    Zwee!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Hi, Doreen, I didn't want the song for my blog. I don't want music on my blog. It actually jars me to hear music on anyone's blog, but that one song on yours is one I wanted to know about. Alas, I never even read your post. I was too interested in the song. You see, that is one reason why I don't want music on my blog. HaHaHa, I get distracted very easily, yes?

  17. It amazes me that anyone can do anything on that scale. I am such a fumble monger when it comes to tiny detail "ANYTHING", and then of course the older I get the harder it is for me to see something smaller than 4 inches without a magnifying glass. I am such a sad case indeed....I just love the locket idea, so delicate and feminine. Pam
