"Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
This is a wonderful New England Proverb. So much art has come from frugality. Many of our primitive artists are inspired by this wondrous ability utilized by people of the past to conjure something treasured from a broken item and from just bits and pieces.
I love the proverb.. how dear!

Hello girlie!
ReplyDeleteMy grandma used to say that.....the proverb....not the hello girlie. ;o) I think that may be the reason I look at what most people would call junk in a whole different way. Art IS good! It's good for the soul.
Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

Art is good, a window to what lies within.Created for expression of one's thoughts or feelings it comes in many forms. It is what makes us human. From the very first paintings on the walls of caves to the digital images of today it is as old as mankind!May it endure with us to eternity.
