Summer is Finally Here in Western, Oregon!
As many Oregonians know, summertime doesn't really take place here until at least the very end of July. With temperatures in the 60's and 70's, we don't regard this as summer weather, and hello, who does? Well, it is a wonderful climate for flowers and greenery. Even the moss is still green. But just this week our temperatures have risen to the high 80's. It has been beautiful! There is no humidity here to speak of, so that's a good thing.
Just sharing a picture of some of the flowers back by our little, Victorian era pond, that is no longer a pond. I will, one day, restore it so that I may enjoy dragon flies!

How envious I am of your weather!
ReplyDeleteIt has been scorching hot, humid and dry for so much of the country, including southern New England.
Your flowers are beautiful!
xx Helen

Beautiful Christine. Oh I would like it to be cooler here in Des Moines, Iowa---it has be very warm for about 2 1/2 weeks. It is better than snow though!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Sounds like I need to move to Oregon! Summer is our longest season and we rarely get a spring. Its like it jumps from winter to summer and it is almost unbearable. Humidity every day too! UGH!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are having nice weather to enjoy. :o)
Just beautiful! We are finally enjoying some much needed rain...temps have been in the 100's and humidity so unbelievable, I don't know why I bother with hair and makeup...it falls and melts away the minute you step outside! Add a good round of hot flashes and I just decide inside is best, for now;)
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much I am enjoying Bella with her rose stockings! She and her environ sit atop the tv cabinet and she is posed to face my station on the sofa. The tiny doll cards stand just inside...they are exquisite! Friends and family just ooh and ahhh! The teacup and saucer take center stage at the hutch, and the ladle has come in so handy. The whimsical candle stick is so charming in our sunroom. I will do a post soon on that room...it has turned out so beautiful.
Thank you so much for everything, dear talented friend,
Christie
